A little whiff of petrol that blows off quickly. Underneath, the nose is exuberant and full of lime peel, lemongrass, honeysuckle, and apricot aromas. With aeration in the glass, I’m able to coax some tropical notes, mostly underripe pineapple and mango, but definitely less ripe and rich on the nose than the 2019 vintage. Crystalline and filigreed, yet mouth-coating, with fine tangy acids and a core of chalky/saline minerality that lingers on the finish along with notes of orange citrus and grapefruit peel. Delicious juice!.
