From 40-year-old vines in ‘Les Houlières’ (just 200m from the Thomas-Collardot parcel.) This is good and straight and muscular. A very 'Puligny' Puligny. Drive, tension and power are the key notes here, but there is nice fruit too. Far from one-dimensional, this has pear and tart Cox's apples. And a fresh mineral scrub too. It does not hide the sunshine of the vintage, but it does still scream of where it is from.
